Cassiopeia Constellation Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of Cassiopeia Constellation from Urania's Mirror Astronomical Cards by Jehoshaphat Aspin for sale by Brandywine General Store. This one was Card # 3 and shows Cassiopeia in her chair. By bragging on her beauty she enraged Poseidon and he punished her by making her spend eternity going thru the North Magnetic Pole in her chair, half the times having to hold on to keep from falling out. The Cassiopeia constellation is easily recognizable by it's distinct W shape formed by the 5 bright stars of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Episolon Cassiopeiae. Urania's Mirror astronomical cards were published in 1825 in London for the purpose of learning about the stars and constellations in the sky. Picture #43
