Monroe County Courthouse at Key West Art Print
A Museum Quality Art Print of the Monroe County Courthouse located in Key West Florida for sale by Brandywine General Store. This structure was built in 1890 and is one of the few brick buildings located in the Keys. Monroe County was named after James Monroe the fifth President of the United States. The population of this county is around 73,000, however 99% of the people live in the Keys, with the mainland being deserted. This is because the county land on the mainland is mostly all either located in the Everglades National Park or Big Cypress National Preserve. If not for the Florida Keys and Key West, Monroe County would have the least sparsely populated county in the United States with the exception of a county or two in Alaska. Picture #259
