Perry's Cave with Stalagmite Art Print
A Museum Quality Art Print of Perry's Cave with a larger Stalagmite showing on the right side of the picture. Through the rest of the scene you can see smaller stalagmites starting to grow. These cave formations are made when water rich in mineral content drops from the ceiling, Over millions of years the drops form these stalagmites which will eventually grow up to meet the ceiling. Perry's Cave was discovered by Commodore Perry and his men during the year 1813, presumably when they were here fighting the British during the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812. This image has been processed into a black and white image as there isn't much color on this cave floor. Picture #250 an original archival print
