Bank of State of SC Fifty Cents 1863 Obsolete Currency
An obsolete fifty cents currency issued by the Bank of the State of South Carolina during the Civil War in 1863 for sale by Brandywine General Store. This obsolete change note is printed on watermarked paper which is somewhat scarcer than the regular issue on non watermarked paper. A small palm tree is in the center of this smaller size obsolete currency. In the South Carolina reference book on obsolete currency this note is designated as #519 and rated R3 on the rarity scale meaning it is estimated between 51 to 75 still exist.
