Burpee's 1890 Seed Catalog Print
A Museum Quality Print of the 1890 Burpee's Seed Catalog for sale by Brandywine General Store. The front of the advertising book tells us that is is available for free distribution and was the 1890 Abridged Catalogue of Burpee's Novelties and Specialties in Seeds. W. Atlee Burpee and Co Seed Growers from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The only product on this front cover is a huge potato which was the Burpee's Extra Early Potato. This was probably a good seller because potatoes were a big staple for the country families of a hundred years ago. This versatile vegetable was usually fixed at least once a day some way or other. It would also keep in the cellar throughout the winter, all you had to do was pull the sprouts off them a couple time. Picture #74 an archival antique advertising print by Brandywine General Store.
