DeVos, Paul - Fox and Poultry Art Print
An archival premium Quality Art Print of a Fox and Poultry painted by Paul De Vos for sale by Brandywine General Store. The size of the original oil on canvas is 45 1/2 by 67 inches and now resides at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London England, being bequested to this institution in 1915 by Henry Louis Florence. The scene shows a vicious looking fox attacking the poultry yard, however a rooster is ready to fight to protect his flock of hens. There is a wooden basket behind the fighting scene, while at the top left is a cage with another chicken. A vine is growing up behind the basket against the dark sky, which looks like dawn is getting ready to break. Even though we try to get the prints looking as good as possible, please keep in mind that this picture is now several hundred years old and shows cracks in the oil based paint and wear that can not all be removed without ruining the original vision of the artist.
