An archival premium Quality art Print of Snowstorm in the Sierras by William Hahn painted in 1876 for sale by Brandywine General Store. The original of this oil on canvas measures 21 by 33 inches and is now located at the California Historical Society Collections at the Autry. This artwork was a gift from Mrs. E Gerson in memory of her father Jacob Goldberg. The scene shows a stagecoach being pulled by a team of five horses. The drivers are on top of the stagecoach with the whip trying to get the horses to go faster, but the horses look like they have about went all that they can go in the driving snow. There are crows in the trees watching the progress of the horses and coach. This picture was painted in the centennial year of the founding of this country and at this time, travel over the mountains to the west was still a dangerous proposition. Country Decor art print #76
