An archival premium Quality art Print of the Official Presidential Portrait of William Howard Taft painted by Anders Zorn for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this oil on canvas in 1911. The original portrait is in the White House hanging in the Blue Room. Zorn was a famous Swedish Artist. In this portrait, he placed the figure in a three quarters seated pose and cut the image off just below the knees, this lessened the breadth of the torso and eliminated the widely spread lower legs that would call attention to the President's extra weight. The setting was in the Blue Room as it appeared after the 1902 renovation of the White House for Theodore Roosevelt. When Taft set for the portrait, he was in his 3rd year of office as President.
