$9.99
A Museum Quality Art Print of the Blue Bell Inn a side view of the front with Bell Sign for sale by Brandywine General Store. This building was built in 1707 and has had several uses during its long history. It was used as an Ordinary, Tavern, Lodging Rental with stables for the horses, a store for Irish linens, woolens, cottons, oznabrigs, calimanco shoes, silk hats, bonnets and other fashionable items of the era. Later a blacksmith used this location who was also a gunsmith. Other occupations surely were here that have been lost to history. This scenic landscape shows a side view of the front of this now private home with the large sign hanging in the front with a blue bell and no writing. A tree is hanging over the house giving another dimension to this artwork. The flue to the large fireplace can be seen on the left side of the building. A white picket fence hooks into the house at both ends of the front, therefore blocking off the back yard, while the front yard is in the public space. Picture #388 an original archival, historical landscape by Brandywine General Store.
