Eastern Entrance to Monticello with Jefferson's Great Clock Art Print
A Museum Quality Art Print of the Eastern Entrance to Monticello with Thomas Jefferson's Great Clock which was installed by the President in his home in 1804 for sale by Brandywine General Store. Jefferson made a mistake in designing this Great Clock, the hanging weights ended up being to long for the height of the entrance hall. Jefferson solved this problem by cutting a hole in the floor so the weights would have room to descend. The Great Clock has never been removed from it's place of honor since being installed in 1804 -05. Picture #608
