Dill at the Kitchen of Benjamin Powell at Williamsburg Art Print
An Print of Dill at the Kitchen of Benjamin Powell for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our scenic landscape shows a huge stand of dill standing in front of the large flue of the kitchen of Benjamin Powell. The dill would have been picked and dried in a building or loft and then used as seasoning thru the long winter months. Exotic seasonings such as salt and pepper were still very expensive in colonial America so the early settlers used only seasonings that they could grow themselves, such as this dill. Picture #464 an original premium quality historic landscape made from a photo in the Brandywine collection.
