The composition shows a rock ledge that circles around and extends down the horizon. Inside this rock wall is a solid mass of yellow leaves from the scrub oaks. On top of the rocks standing out against the blue rocky horizon are some of the one sided red spruce trees. These trees only have branches on one side due to the strong almost constant fierce winter winds.
