Scott County VA Civil War One Dollar Obsolete currency 1862 Clock
One Dollar obsolete civil war currency issued by the County of Scott from Estillville, now Gate City, VA in 1862 with the clock vignette for sale by Brandywine General Store. Gate City is located in the southwest part of the Commonwealth and is the county seat of Scott County. In the Virginia reference book on obsolete money this one dollar currency with the clock is rated on the rarity scale as R-3 meaning it is estimated between 50 - 99 of these bills still exist. The clock is somewhat rarer than the crossed guns and tree vignettes. The serial number is 3487 with plate letter A. Our estimation of grade to be used as a reference only is extra fine but unfortunately there is loss along the bottom border. The pictures show the front and back of the actual one dollar VA obsolete civil war currency that is for sale to help you decide on the condition before purchasing.
